Welcome to the group of Quantum Optics of Correlated Materials at the University of Maryland Baltimore County, led by Prof. Daniel G. Suárez-Forero
Our group experimentally explores the physics of correlated electronic systems in different solid-state platforms. We use optical techniques to study and manipulate the unique states of matter that emerge when particles interact beyond the mean-field approximation.

- Read here the latest article on UMBC News. PI Suárez-Forero participates in a Q&A session where he tells us about his research, and the perspectives for the group of Quantum Optics of Correlated Materials: one photon, a trillion electrons. Thank you Sarah Hansen for the fun reading.
